Another example includes i-team deploying some of their national sales team to assist us when we recently held a well-attended EXPO at our Liverpool premises (attached to the i-team HQ), as well as flying in extra hands from Holland to support us during the day.
What future impact do you anticipate from i-team products?
In the period we’ve been associated with i-team (approx. three years), they’ve continuously invested in product development. It’s not unusual for the company to introduce new ideas and products several times a year, and I can only see this practice continuing.
To accommodate these innovations, Wray Bros has had to invest significantly in its digital marketing presence to take advantage of all the innovations being presented.
What is the biggest challenge in transitioning the cleaning industry from traditional methods to i-mop technology?
It’s child’s play to demonstrate the benefits and superiority of using an i-mop over traditional mops and buckets. Flat, Ball and Kentucky mopping are still component parts of the cleaning industry and have been for over 100 years.
The ease and accessibility of equipment, the low-tech status and the cost are attractive incentives to continue using traditional mopping equipment. It will take time to introduce change on the scale that’s required to make mechanised floor cleaning totally mainstream, but the transition is inevitable.
