SpotlessWater partners with Morrisons

SpotlessWater has announced a partnership with Morrisons to install its 24/7 self- service pure water stations across the retailer’s nationwide estate.

The collaboration saw SpotlessWater launch stations at Morrisons locations in Shrewsbury, Lichfield and Woking in October, with a further nine sites, including Cardiff, Whitley Bay and Stratford, going live by January.

The partnership has the potential to expand to more Morrisons locations across the UK, forming part of Morrisons’ wider strategy to create marketplace-style destinations that offer customers everything they need in one place, while generating new value from existing space.

The new stations will provide instant, 24/7 access to pure water for customers and professionals such as window cleaners, vehicle detailers and solar panel specialists to achieve spot-free results in a faster and more sustainable way. Each installation operates as a hands-off, fully managed concession, equipped with over 45 sensors and control systems that enable real-time monitoring of water quality, pressure and flow.

Tim Morris, CEO of SpotlessWater, said: “This is a fantastic partnership for both businesses. Our customers gain access to more convenient, secure and well- located stations, while Morrisons benefits from an additional revenue stream that complements the services already available on-site.”

Jason Mallinson, Services Procurement Manager for Morrisons, added: “We are delighted to be collaborating with SpotlessWater to bring their innovative pure water stations to a select number of our stores. This new and sustainable service will support local professionals by providing access to spot-free, purified water, giving customers more reasons to shop at Morrisons.”

Sybron, a supplier of cleaning, hygiene and catering products to UK hospitality, has announced its merger with northern-based family-run business, Opera National Hygiene & Catering Supplies.

Based in Nantwich and founded by John and Marie Whittaker, Opera has built a reputation across the Midlands and the North, proudly serving customers in the hospitality sector.

George Mason, Sybron’s Sales & Marketing Director, said: “We are delighted to be merging with Opera. As two family-run companies joining forces, we share the same core values – teamwork and a commitment to exceptional service. Sybron is focused on maintaining our USPs and retaining our family-run culture, making Opera a natural fit as we continue to expand our footprint.”

On 3 November, Opera joined Sybron at its new Stafford depot. The combined business is operating as Sybron and the team will focus on maintaining excellent customer service and driving the business forward.

George continued: “Our new Stafford depot was originally intended as a distribution hub, however our new merger with Opera gives us the opportunity to create a distinct branch and a face for Sybron in the Midlands and the North.

“We have all approached this merger with great consideration and a commitment to satisfy all parties. The hours that have gone into it have paid off and together we have created an exceptional new team – we’re off to a great start and look forward to building the business together.”

John Whittaker, Opera founder and Sybron Director of the North Region, added: “We are delighted to be under the Sybron umbrella – a win-win for us and our customers. Our customers will continue to enjoy exceptional service under the Sybron name and also benefit from the extended infrastructure, product innovation and investment in social responsibility that come with this larger, dynamic organisation.”
