CHEMICALS & DOSING EQUIPMENT STATE OF FLUX
Reliable dosing of cleaning chemicals is essential for operatives to be able to consistently clean to high standards. With that in mind, Christeyns fill us in on their new Flux-Multi dosing system.
Safe, accurate dosing and monitoring of chemical products is extremely important for the efficiency of the wash process as well as ensuring care and protection of the environment. In the cost competitive world in which we all operate, results need to be reliable, in order to ensure first class cleaning performance every time.
Flux-Multi is a high tech, compact central dosing system for the automatic dosing of liquid detergents to washer extractors and tunnel washers. Designed by Christeyns, this tailor-made system offers reliable performance, full traceability and optimal safety for all types of facilities from small and medium-sized independent laundries with one machine, up to full-scale commercial settings.
“In the cost competitive world in which we all operate, results need
to be reliable, in order to ensure first class
cleaning performance every time.”
The Flux-Multi system works by the washer extractor or tunnel washer sending a signal to the main box, which sets off a series of checks and the correct opening and closing of valves. The exact volumetric dosing is controlled by a flow meter and a self-diagnostic system continuously monitors and corrects the dosages. Proof of Flow units detect all the chemicals loaded in the system, including non-ionics, and for washer extractors there is also proof of delivery.
A built-in memory card retains dosing
history for correct follow up and provides a full reporting system that covers total chemical consumption and costs.

Housed in a fully enclosed cabinet, each of the different chemicals in the system are separated by water in dosing lines. In addition, flushing with water or air following each dosage ensures the system is completely safe.
The system offers flexibility on dosing capacity and the number of dosing points, and is pre-assembled to customer specification for easy installation. As there are few spare parts requiring replacement and no peristaltic pumps, maintenance is low. A main control panel is used to set all inputs, outputs and timings which also shows any error messages.
Flux also incorporates remote units for added security. A low level alarm unit is placed near the chemicals to indicate when a drum is empty. Another unit is installed close to the washer extractor that allows the remote input and output of both status and trigger signals.
Outside the commercial laundry environment, Alex Reid, the Christeyns arm that supply specialist laundry and dry-cleaning products to retail outlets, will shortly be adding the Flux dosing equipment to enhance their dosing equipment range. This will allow Alex Reid to offer their specifically developed laundry chemicals, known as Caretex, along with an optimal dosing system, the combination of
which will offer outstanding results and an unparalleled all-round package.
Christeyns is passionate about laundry and is constantly researching and developing ways to move the industry forward. Striving to optimise products and provide businesses with high- quality chemicals and central dosing installations that are eco-friendly as well as effective.
Every business needs the right tools to do the job and for laundries, getting the dosing right is paramount to producing the desired end product. Flux-Multi is one system that will simplify the dosing process and ensure outstanding results every time.
