Mycoplasma genitalium (M. gen) is often missed because it can be mistaken for other STIs.1
The CDC recommends testing patients with recurrent cervicitis, PID, and urethritis with NAAT for detection of M. gen.2

Aptima® Mycoplasma genitalium assay, have been shown to detect 40% of overlooked infections compared to DNA-based tests.3
