Hovarda launched in Rupert Street in 2o17, bringing a new style of dining to Soho. With Aegean small plates in the stylish restaurant and luxurious bar upstairs, including resident dj’s Tuesday to Friday, this was all designed with sophisticated fun in mind.

Could you tell us a bit about the history & inspiration

behind Hovarda? Hovarda means “generous host” in Greek and in Turkish language, which is synonymous with the hospitality style. Essentially, Hovarda is inspired by the flavours and hospitality of the Aegean coastal towns and islands.

Hovarda regularly hosts musicians, was this always a big part of the culture & strategy behind the bar &

restaurant? Music in Hovarda has always been a big part of the brand's culture. Our music is the same body with the culinary and beverage creations and the atmosphere that our guests create - which completes the Hovarda experience naturally. Food, drink, ambiance & music all come together to create unique memories in Hovarda.

And what was the inspiration behind bringing an Aegean

brunch to Soho? Hovarda wanted to extend its unique culinary experience offering a fun style of brunch in London, yet honouring the Aegean style of dining.
