SLS achieves EcoVadis
OCT 2024
Gold demonstrating commitment to sustainability excellence
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the EcoVadis Gold rating, lifting our accreditation from the previous year’s Bronze award.
This places us in the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis globally (specifically the 96th percentile) and stands as a testament to our ongoing commitment to more sustainable practices across the business. We achieved scores of 70% or above in all four key assessment areas (Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement), with particularly strong performances in the Environment and Sustainable Procurement sections.
Our journey to EcoVadis Gold has been driven by a steadfast commitment to sustainability and accountability over the past few years. Our approach is anchored in clear, quantitative objectives aimed at reducing resource consumption across our operations, supported by a comprehensive greenhouse gas emissions reduction plan covering all scopes.
We have ensured that our policies reflect a robust commitment to responsible business practices, and beyond demonstrating our intent to minimise impact and mitigate risk, we take corresponding measures to drive continual progress year on year.
Achieving EcoVadis Gold is a testament to the progress we have made over the past year – strengthening our policies, developing a robust plan of action for carbon reduction, and fostering a culture that embraces progress. This recognition not only validates our dedication to responsible and transparent business practices but also secures our place on the path towards becoming an industry leader in sustainability…
and we couldn’t be more proud.
