The DataPaq™ Handheld 2 is a compact and user-friendly device specifically designed for quick reading of single 2D barcoded tubes. With its intuitive interface and clear display, this standalone device streamlines the process and improves efficiency. Its portability makes it convenient to use on-the-go.


The device, small enough to fit in a pocket, features pre-installed software that starts up quickly and provides a battery life of up to seven days. Charging is done through a USB 3 port.


The DataPaq™ Handheld 2 offers four modes of operation: Barcode Scanning, Data Entry, Data View, and Picklist. With Barcode Scanning, you can quickly scan tube barcodes and view the results on the screen. Data Entry mode enables you to scan the barcode, enter information about the sample contained in the tube, and store it in your sample database. In Data View mode, you can scan a barcode to view the details of the sample. Picklist mode allows you to create a tube picklist using a PC client, and then use the DataPaq™ Handheld 2 to scan the tubes to ensure the correct selection from the freezer.
