Specialists in Clean Assembly
Precision Thin Films Analysis Utilising Spectroscopic Reflectometry
Ocean Optics’ NanoCalc systems utilise spectroscopic reflectometry to accurately determine optical thin film thicknesses for consumer, semiconductor, medical and industrial applications. Customer-designed and new application-ready preconfigured NanoCalc models make it easy to select the optimum system for deep UV to NIR wavelength measurement needs.
Class 10 to 10,000 Cleanrooms
High integrity component cleaning and clean assembly for high vacuum, opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
NanoCalc systems are available for a range of wavelength, sampling method and optical layer thickness requirements (from 1.0nm to 250µm). Users can select among four standard models between ~200-1700nm and combine them with software, reflection probes, optical fibres and various accessories. For applications in the Visible (400-850nm) or UV-Visible (250- 1050nm), users have the added convenience of selecting preconfigured systems comprising the NanoCalc, a reflection probe and sampling stage, a calibrated Si-SiO2 5-step reference wafer and software that analyses up to 10 optical layers.
For more demanding applications, NanoCalc systems are available with an extensive range of add-on software, optical fibres and metrology accessories such as mapping stages and adapters for microscopes and micro-spot focussing objectives.
NanoCalc systems are especially useful for applications such as transmission and reflection measurements of anti-reflective and hardness coatings, amorphous silicon on solar panels, OLED displays, determination of photoresist layers for photomasks and testing the optical properties of optical coatings.

Medical Refrigeration Manufacturer Makes Social Media Debut
Lec Medical continues its pioneering role with the launch of dedicated Facebook and Twitter social media sites. This latest development follows the accelerated growth that the company continues to enjoy, combined with the launch of the industry’s most innovative medical refrigeration range. Accessed independently via
www.facebook.com/pages/Lec-Medical/287647221274085 or
www.twitter.com/lec_medical or even direct from the company’s website at
www.lec-medical.co.uk, the launch of these social media sites will now provide both customers and the medical media with the opportunity to receive instant updates on product and promotions, forthcoming events, and corporate announcements.
Renowned for being innovative and forward thinking, Lec Medical is one of the first medical refrigeration manufacturers to use Facebook and Twitter to directly connect with its audience, and the company firmly recognises its value as a modern communications tool.
Carolyn Holland, Lec Medical’s Brand Manager commented: “Social media now plays a vital role
in day-to-day corporate communications and, in our bid to engage fully with our audience, we are committed to developing an active role in this evolving landscape. Whilst we recognise that Facebook and Twitter are ideal vehicles for informal networking with our audiences alongside traditional channels, we believe they will also create invaluable interaction with the Lec Medical brand.
Lec Medical recently sparked a design revolution in the medical refrigeration industry with the launch of a new and innovative range of British-built pharmacy, laboratory, bloodbanks and ward appliances. Providing safe and reliable storage of drugs vaccines and blood, the new range has received phenomenal response and has raised the industry bar for design, performance, energy efficiency and security. Larger capacity models have since been added to the range.

Medical Chair Combines Freedom of Movement with Support
The starting point for a HÅG chair design is an in-depth understanding of the body and the need for constant motion. HÅG Capisco Puls is based on the legendary 'saddle-seat' chair. Inspired by the horseman’s sitting posture, it gives the users perfect freedom to move and work high and low; a vital feature to avoid tiredness and work related injuries.
HÅG Capisco Puls has been designed to fit into any work place where you work and move in a different way. It is the ideal chair for dentists, surgeons and other medical professionals who work in semi-standing positions or when used back-to front so that the back panel supports the chest. No other task chair is so well adapted to work surfaces of different heights. Easily wiped clean, HÅG Capisco Puls can also be used in cleanroom settings.
At the heart of Capisco Puls design and unique to HÅG chairs is the Balanced Movement Mechanism™. The shape of the chair inspires a person to vary their sitting position ensuring movement without having to think about it. This stimulates blood circulation like no other task chair. The overall design encourages the body's natural movements and has a positive effect on both body and mind.
