Milton Roy has announced the launch of the new, ATEX II 2 G Ex h IIC T4/T3 Gb X certifi ed, Primeroyal™ Q series (PQ) chemical metering pump. This cutting-edge addition to the already comprehensive Primeroyal™ range comes with a promise to set a new benchmark for performance in a wide array of industrial applications. The PQ series boasts an extensive and modular API 675 range that includes eight distinct drive sizes and nine advanced liquid end technologies, ensuring unparalleled versatility, and the ability to meet the most demanding hydraulic performance requirements for high fl ows and high discharge pressures.
The Primeroyal™ Q series extends the boundaries of metering pump technology, offering a maximum fl ow rate of 8,657 l/h (2,199 gph) per dosing head and maximum discharge pressure of 1,035 bar (15,011 psi). This remarkable expansion of the Primeroyal™ range caters to a diverse spectrum of customer needs, delivering a robust and adaptable solution designed to excel under the most stringent industrial conditions. Tailored to withstand the rigours of continuous, round-the-clock operation, the Q series is the epitome of reliability and endurance, meeting the demands of 24/7 duties without compromise on performance or precision.
These metering pumps have been meticulously engineered with three proven liquid end types – packed plunger, PTFE, or metallic diaphragm - that have been the cornerstone of reliability for over two decades within the Primeroyal™ and Milroyal® series. The double diaphragm liquid end technology, coupled with a sophisticated leak detection system, offers superior safety for handling all types of fl uids including critical, toxic, harmful, and explosive process fl uids. Despite its high-spec capabilities, the Q Series is easy to maintain and economical to operate.
The Primeroyal™ Q series, with its compact and lightweight design with a minimal footprint, provides compliance with API 675 standards for steady state accuracy (±1%), linearity and repeatability (±3%). The high-performance devices have a maximum fl ow rate of 8,657 l/h (2,199 gph) per dosing head, a maximum discharge pressure of 1,035 bar (15,011 psi) and a maximum suction pressure of 371 bar (5,380 psi) dedicated for liquifi ed gases application. The Q Series is built around over two decades of fi eld proven technology and features a leak-free design and large liquid end technology offering packed plunger, PTFE or metallic stainless-steel single/double diaphragm.
The pumps operate in ambient temperatures of -10° to + 50 °C (+14° to +122 °F) in standard, with an optional low temperature model for temperatures of -40°C/-40°F. They offer manual and local stroke length adjustment for precise control of the fl ow rate and remote control of the capacity, through the 4-20mA analogue and feedback signals for modulation. In addition, the Q Series also features multiplexing capabilities, with a maximum of 6 heads and customised PQ solutions are available with many of options for high specifi cations.

Continuous toxic gas analysers
The third generation Model 201-C MP continuous toxic gas analyser is an accurate and durable system capable of doing the work of 20 analysers in a single system. Several years ago, we added the fl ame ionization detector (FID) to the 201 series product line. Other continuous analysers in the 200 series include the Model 202 Infrared (IR) for carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, thermal conductivity detector (TCD), Model 204 and a Model 210 Zirconium Oxide Oxygen Analyser. The addition of these new analysers greatly improves the capability and range of process analysers from PID.
Applications: PID or FID applications include monitoring effl uents from chemical, refi ning, or manufacturing, carbon bed breakthrough, leak detection from process equipment, non methane hydrocarbons in ambient or stack. FID only applications are: Catalyst drying ovens for removing solvents, incineration of total hydrocarbons in ambient or plant ppb levels of VOCs. PID only applications are as follows: Remediation site monitoring Intake air in chemical or manufacturing plants- used to control recirculation of air VOC’s in water with optional Sparging system (Model 650) for total VOCs in water at ppm-ppb levels.
