MEASUREMENT & TESTING New solution to eliminate the need for manual water quality testing
Ketos has announced that its Ketos Shield solution now provides operators with lab accurate results for over 20 water parameters. Ketos Shield is part of a fully integrated water analytics solution, giving operators access to automated reporting, real-time alerts, custom threshold-based diagnostics, custom reports, historical trends, and mission-critical insights by continuously analysing water data in conjunction with advanced machine learning.
These insights are vital for the public and private sectors and are used for water quality, safety assurance testing, protecting liability, understanding process optimisation in industrial plants, improving crop yields and water data for farming, besides overall consumer health.
“Ideal for high-frequency water quality sampling, the Ketos Shield solution is offered as a complete end-to-end service for a flat fee,” said Meena Sankaran, CEO of Ketos. “This reduces the complexity of having multiple vendors and integrators for hardware, communications, software, and maintenance, and it gives organisations the opportunity to allocate budget in a way that best suits their needs.”
The highly user-friendly Ketos Shield eliminates the need for manual water quality testing and reduces the need for manual equipment cleaning, calibration, or maintenance on a daily/weekly basis. Its precision, sensitivity, and data accuracy is comparable to 3rd party labs so that users can leverage data for applications such as process control, nutrient management, drinking water safety, or water reuse. Ketos Shield also features an early warning system in real- time to enable users to measure, manage and monetise water as a resource as well as real-time data visualisation with predictive intelligence.

The Ralston Instruments FieldLab is a revolutionary pressure device for testing and calibration. Tests can be created for datalogging, pressure calibration, pressure safety valve testing and hydrostatic testing. Create a test on a PC using the included FieldLab Desktop software and put it to one or more FieldLabs or run the test from a PC. On-screen prompts lead the user through a test and tell them right on the FieldLab whether the device under test is out of tolerance. Easily download data onto a PC for for creating calibration certificates. With pressure ranges from 30 psi to 10,000 psi (2 to 700 bar), certified for Class I Div 1 and ATEX / IECEx Zone 0 Hazardous locations, measurement uncertainty of 0.1% of reading, temperature compensated, lithium-ion rechargeable battery and a color screen the FieldLab Pressure makes an indispensable addition to any pressure test or calibration kit.

New advanced NIR portable fuel analyser
Zeltex, LLC announces the latest in their line of ZX-101 Portable Fuel Analysers, the ZX-101SQ. The ZX-101SQ combines the proven reliability and lab accuracy of the previous model, the ZX-101XL, that thousands of customers currently rely on. The SQ is upgraded with improved Near Infra-red optics (NIR) as well as a much easier user interface. Quickly analyses for octane, cetane, percent ethanol, and biodiesel percentages. This new analyser will enable you to get fast sample analysis to determine your fuel quality at the pump, in the field, or in the lab.

The ZX-101SQ has an increased wavelength range for more accuracy with biodiesel and ethanol analysis with improved (14 to 16) calibrations and accuracy (particularly for Biodiesel). This instrument’s optical range has been increased to (810nm – 1045nm) from (893nm – 1045nm) with the previous models in the range. This analyser also includes an automatic fuel type detection option which reduces operator error, a 2-piece filter tray (not one piece) adds longer filter life span (approx. 25 y) and the larger colour display with graphic instructions and the enhanced user interface and printer controls further improve the ZX-101SQ’s ease of use. Zeltex have also expanded the memory of stored, analysed samples from 25 to 100 samples having integrated a next generation computer board. This unit is protected by a Pelican military-spec carrying case and a 1-year warranty is standard.
