2-in-1: Simultaneous vapor pressure and density testing of crude oil eralytics’ innovative temperature-controlled, high-precision density meter module DENS4052 is now available for our vapor pressure tester ERAVAP. With less than 1 kg of weight, it is the lightest and smallest density meter module on the market measuring in full compliance with ASTM D4052 as well as D5002 (r = 0.0001 g/cm³). This unique feature allows for a simultaneous density and vapor pressure measurement of crude oil and petroleum based products.
Pressurized sampling system ERAVAP MPC and FPC
Measuring live crudes containing high amounts of volatiles requires the use of a pressurized sampling system. For this task eralytics offers the newly developed manual piston cylinder ERAVAP MPC (ASTM D8009) or a Welker ® FPC fl oating piston cylinder (ASTM D3700). The density meter module DENS4052 is fully compatible with these pressurized fi lling systems (MPC/FPC), making it uniquely convenient for crude oil testing.
High Performance Cell Shaking Technology
As a higher viscosity signifi cantly delays the formation of a pressure equilibrium, shaking of the measuring cell is mandatory for ASTM D6377. ERAVAP features a superior cell and shaker design, which results not only in a faster measurement but also signifi cantly increases the accuracy and precision. This was also confi rmed by the Canadian Crude Quality Technical Association CCQTA within a recent coordinated study performed by our Canadian partner Parkes Scientifi c and eralytics.

Portable oil-in-water testing with ERACHECK X: Xtra RUGGED, Xtra FAST, Xtra ACCURATE
The oil-in-water analyzer ERACHECK X is eralytics latest product innovation. It is the fi rst analyzer based on our new portable and easy-to-operate instrument platform, convincing with a rugged aluminum housing with most compact dimensions, still offering a large color touch screen and a state-of-the- art built-in industry PC.
ERACHECK X is a high-end dual-beam non-dispersive IR spectrometer for the highly accurate measurement of oil-in-water. Based on the inexpensive and environmentally friendly CFC-free solvent, cyclohexane, ERACHECK X measures TOG, TPH, and FOG in water in full compliance with ASTM D8193 with sub-ppm precision, offering excellent correlation to EPA 1664, ISO 9377, and OSPAR.
The simplifi ed extraction procedure is performed in a few steps, requiring minimum glassware and easy cleaning. The fully automated measurement of the extract takes only 2 minutes. Results are displayed on the large full-color touch screen and can be exported via USB directly to a fl ash drive or PC for LIMS.
Unlike gravimetric methods, ASTM D8193 does not require the evaporation of the solvent, eliminating the risk of light ends getting lost during the measurements. This leads to signifi cantly better accuracy and precision (r = 0.25 mg/L) over a wide measuring range (0 – 3000 mg/L).
Compared to GC methods that do not detect fractions eluting outside the defi ned time window, with ASTM D8193 a more complete fraction of extracted hydrocarbons is measured, and this much faster and easier.
Its ruggedness and reliability make ERACHECK X the perfect solution for fast on-site compliance testing in harsh ambient conditions like the daily work on oil drilling platforms and as a portable fi eld tester for wastewater professionals.
