UILDINGS that are well maintained and kept in good condition will generally be able to cope with most winter weather. Our 24/7 repairs service means we

Help to prepare for winter B

are available to complete emergency repairs right through the festive period when many places are closed. Our call centre staff are also available 24 hours a day every day, including weekends and bank holidays. While our repairs team is on hand to deal with repairs all year round, bad weather can impact what we can do and how quickly we can complete repairs. We prepare for winter by bringing in additional staff and making sure we have appropriate machinery available. However, we can’t carry out any roof

work during high winds, or when roofs are slippy due to rain or ice. In these cases, we’ll let you know and arrange another appointment. Long spells of cold weather can also

restrict the work we can carry out. For example, we can only roughcast when temperatures are over five degrees, as well as needing dry weather. In these cases, we’ll put repairs on hold until the weather improves, although we will always carry out any emergency repairs to keep you safe. During the holiday period, our

contractors also remove scaffolding to prevent any risk due to high winds and to stop any opportunity for anti-social behaviour. If you have any repairs needed, it’s best to get them done before the cold weather hits. Just call us or go online to report a repair.

A three-week course called to all

Routes into Care can prepare people for working in the care sector by helping them improve their knowledge and get on-the-job experience.

The course also involves a

And everyone who completes the course is guaranteed a job interview with Loretto Care, also part of Wheatley Group.

Funmi Komolafe, took the course last year – and now works full-time as a Health and Wellbeing Assistant with Loretto Care.
