SmarAct develops high-performance solutions for handling and positioning in the micro- and nanometer range. Te broad product portfolio - from single positioners to complex parallel kinematics, miniaturized robots and easy-to-use control systems - is completed by sophisticated measuring equipment based on powerful laser interferometers. Maintaining the complete production in house allows a high level of customization so that we can always provide you the optimal individual or OEM solution.
• Linear and Rotational Positioners for UHV, HV and Cryogenic Environments – stick- slip piezo actuators with low-heat profiles and ultra-high vacuum compatibility which allow sample manipulation down to the mK regime. Te stages are based on SmarAct’s piezo driving technology which is optimized for cryogenic temperatures down to the mK range. All stages are also available for operation under ambient temperatures and our UHV positioners are bakeable at up to 420 K (150 °C).
• Hybrid-Drives combine our stick-slip actuators with an integrated piezo scanner unit into a single and compact device. Te Hybrid-Drive is directed towards applications where a precise motion on the millimeter-scale needs to be combined with a large and fast vibration- free scanning motion of up to 50 μm.
• SMARPODs und TRIPOD – parallel-kinematic systems for manipulating objects in all six degrees of freedom with many advantages: Tey are considerably more compact than common serial kinematics, have a higher rigidity and lower moving mass. Hence, improved dynamical response and a user-definable virtual pivot point. Due to their modular design, the positioning systems can be adapted to changing requirements.
• Microscopy Stages with Micro- and Nanomanipulators – SmarAct Microscopy Stages can be fitted to microscopes of all major manufacturers. Te motorized X-Y sample positioning systems allow travel ranges of up to 100 mm with nanoscopic resolution and the same repeatability as SmarAct’s linear positioners provide. Based on our common knowledge for micro- and nanomanipulators, every microscopy stage can be upgraded with different 3D or 4D micromanipulators for most of the tasks in applications and fundamental research experiments.
