Entry requirements


We aim to make your application process as smooth as possible. Our personalised approach to admissions means we consider a range of qualifications, but also take your previous experience into account. We accept applications from school and college leavers as well as mature students and those without formal qualifications who can prove relevant professional knowledge and skills. Foundation courses


We offer a range of foundation year courses which are designed to prepare our UK and International students for degree level study in a range of subject areas. See page 140 or visit www.mdx.ac.uk/foundation


Interviews, auditions, portfolios, showreels and tests


Some courses require an additional interview, audition, portfolio, showreel and/or test as part of the application process. This is usually for courses in art and design, education, healthcare sciences, media, nursing and midwifery, performing arts, product design and social work. For students not based in the UK auditions and interviews can often be done via Skype, and portfolios and showreels submitted electronically. However, there are some courses that require you to visit our campus as part of the selection process. Direct entry to year 2 or 3


If you have a Foundation Degree, CertHE, DipHE, HNC/HND in Higher Education or have completed a number of modules from an undergraduate degree you may be able to enter directly onto the second or third year of an undergraduate degree.
