Better Late Than Never! The Ontario Cutting Horse Association kicked off their 2021 show season in June with their
first show at Walker’s Farm in Richmond. Unfortunately, heavy rains forced Saturday’s cancellation, but Sunday was a great day to show. Mother Nature showed little mercy once again with torrential rains on the Saturday of the
second show in July, produced by the Deep Cut Cowboys at Fletcher’s Horseworld in Waterford. Sun- day however was a beautiful show day with members, young and old, competing throughout the full day of classes. Lifelong OCHA member and Canadian cutting icon, Jim MacKay showed in the Open and 5000 Novice Horse classes and helped competitors throughout the day, including little 7 year-old Sloan Scott from Perth, Ontario, who competed for the very first time. The next show is scheduled for August 7-8 at Ancaster Fairgrounds in Jerseyville. OCHA members are also looking forward to participating at the Ancaster Roundup also to
be held at Ancaster Fairgrounds September 16-19. The show will kick off with a flag clinic on the af- ternoon of September 16, followed by the exciting Equinety 5K Breakaway finals. There will be three days of OCHA/NCHA sanctioned cutting classes on September 17, 18 & 19. Each day will feature premier events including the Rapid Aid Senior Cutting and the Mad Barn Bridleless Cutting. There will be vendors from across Ontario to check out - a great place to start Christmas shopping early! Check out Ancaster Roundup on Facebook for more info! Come on out and enjoy the fun!
