along the supply chain contribute to these sessions, including Steve Bratt, Group CEO at SELECT’s counterpart down south, ECA. At his most recent appearance on 26 July, Steve called for greater collaboration and understanding between wholesaler and contractor regarding product availability. The EDA, like every trade association along the supply


chain, is playing its part to raise issues, collaborate on solutions, and signpost resources which can be used to educate and spread understanding. We want SELECT


Members to be aware that each part of the supply chain is dealing with similar issues and is doing everything it can to deal with the current challenges. Rest assured, we’re all doing our bit to keep the


conversation fl owing and to invite collaboration and to help manage expectations. After all, no one wants unhappy customers – least of all electrical wholesalers.

ABOUT THE EDA


Founded in 1914, the EDA is the trade body for UK electrical wholesale distributors. Wholesalers are the essential link between manufacturers of electrotechnical products and the electricians and contractors who install them. Membership includes leading national wholesalers Edmundson Electrical Ltd, Rexel UK, CEF and Stearn Electrical Co Ltd as well as many independent fi rms, most of whom are members of the UK’s largest buying groups ANEW, AWEBB, FEGIME UK and T e IBA Buying Group.
