A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT By Don Brunner, President
Hello everyone. I hope everyone is
enjoying their summer. What a great time we all had on the BB Riverboat in early July. It was so nice to see so many of our members and friends in person; we also had great weather, the music of Steve and Steve, and food and drink.
Giddy up for our next event on the
Don Brunner BRG Apartments
calendar: the annual trade show. It’s a Western theme so make sure you register early and bring your western wear. This year - because of timing due to COVID and the CDC - our show for the first time
will be held in August. So mark your calendar for August 12 at Sharonville Convention Center. We have a full line up of education classes, leadership forums, and 99 of our supplier partners. What else could you ask for? A few years ago, we added to our lineup of education
Leadership Forums. Our organization does a great job of sharing ideas that help to advance our industry. This year is no different. We have four successful thought leaders to help lead the discus- sions: • Executive Forum on Operations and Ownership Direction headlined by Diana Pittro with RMK Management based out of Chicago. This forum is geared toward C-suite, VP of opera-
tions, and senior multisite leaders.
• Marketing Forum headlined by James Sellar with Village Green Management. James will focus on marketing and ad- vertising options in an ever-changing environment. This fo- rum is geared toward your company’s marketing decision maker.
• IT Forum headlined by Bill Salyers with Towne Properties. Bill will lead the discussion on IT trends, cyber security, soft- ware, and more. This forum is geared toward management personnel who are responsible for your company’s IT solu- tions.
• Human Resource Forum headlined by Bob Winkler with Fath Properties. Bob will lead the discussion on recruitment ideas, benefit options, and the employee experience. This fo- rum is geared toward Human Resource Managers. I would like to wrap up this month’s article with another call to be part of the legislative committee. Each week are hearing or facing additional headwinds from our local politicians. We need each one of you to be aware of what’s happening regarding our in- dustry in your corner of the tri-state. As you hear or read of topics which impact us, please reach out to Pat Crowley or the GCNKAA offices. Pat and the team will immediately follow up with those jurisdictions for clarification and discussion. See everyone at the trade show! Have a great rest of the sum-
mer.
