Leading offshore energy media business chosen to record development of £126.75m iconic bridge


Offshore energy media leaders CHPV Media has been awarded the contract to record the development of a £126.75 million iconic new bridge in its hometown.


It will offer film and photographer services to follow the progress of the Gull Wing Bridge, which answers Lowestoft’s 100‑year wish for a third river crossing.


CHPV has been filming and photographing impressive feats of engineering and industry on land, sea and air, around the world for more than 56 years from a Lowestoft base, with its work, especially in the offshore energy sector, recognised globally.


Its latest contract offers the rare opportunity for the team to work close to home following its construction crossing Lake Lothing to its opening in summer 2023.


The four-strong CHPV team, based at OrbisEnergy, Lowestoft, has grown an ever-expanding portfolio of services including, installation filming, drone filming, safety inductions, training videos, PR and media coverage, project documentaries, 360-degree asset inspection, long term time lapse, 3D animation, in-house 4k video editing and stock images and footage.


Its main market is in the offshore renewable industry, with clients including many of the largest global players.
