LIVE 24-SEVEN - COMMENT WELCOME EDITOR

TO OUR JUNE MAGA Z INE

Welcome to the June edition of your Live 24-Seven magazine – almost half way through the year already. More importantly it feels as we are back to some sort of normality at last and for me this month at work I have really noticed the difference.

We have news and features on all sorts of events, the likes of which we’ve not seen for more than a year.

Lots of us have missed our visits to restaurants over the past few months and if you want to catch up on lost time, why not pay a visit to the Cheltenham Food and Drink festival at the end of the month where you can meet lots of food producers selling and sampling their wares as well as listening to culinary experts talking, including local chef Joe McCarthy who we also feature.

Gardening has become another of our national obsessions during the pandemic too as we have been able to spend more time in them, both working and relaxing. We have the second of our monthly columns from garden designer Sara Edwards who helps us turn our outside space into our dream garden with some innovative design. We also introduce our new farming column with Richard Thomas who will be keeping us up to date with activity on his family’s north Herefordshire farm.

Finally we take a trip to one of the area’s jewels, Leominster, to see what there is on offer there, finding lots of gorgeous independent shops and eateries as well as lovely walks and historical sites to enjoy.

We also put the spotlight on Portugal in our travel section, one of the first countries added to the green list of places allowable to visit and we look at some of the less obvious attractions in the Algarve for those looking for more than just sun, sea and sand.

Hopefully this gives everyone plenty of inspiration for the weeks ahead. Enjoy the start of the summer, safely of course, and we will see you in July.
