For the past few years, Rob Taylor has been bringing new life to the Mainliner Pub.


Taylor purchased the pub in 2018 and has brought a new look and feel to the establishment, as well as a brand new menu.


“I was super excited to hear the news,” said Taylor. “We’ve been campaigning for years to try and win this, so it was amazing to see us actually win it.”


Taylor says the Mainliner is trying to offer something different to the community.


“I’ve really worked to clean the place up down here,” he said. “We’ve done some renovations and we have a lot going on


down here.


“I’m friends with so many of the other pub owners, so I don’t want to act like we’re so much better than all of them, but I do think we have a really great atmosphere down here.”


Taylor says the new menu gave a big boost to his pub.


“Having a full kitchen really helped us a lot this past year,” he said. “Our food is slowly taking off and I think the online ordering has let people know that we have food and it’s actually really good.”


Taylor thanks the community for the support during the pandemic.


“We really appreciate everyone shopping local this year.”
