Ag Plus Mechanical does it again
Ag Plus Mechanical combines a wide variety of quality products with attention to service and ‘above-and-beyond’ customer service to make them the top pick among agricultural stores in the 2021 Best of Medicine Hat Reader’s Choice Awards.
This is the second win for Ag Plus, winning prior in 2019. The business is owned by Bruce Johnson and Jeff Gold and this year, the company will be celebrating its 25th anniversary.
According to Gold, “attention to service and customer relationships” is what likely played key roles in the voting.
“We are grateful for sure,” says Gold. “Our customer base continues to grow and we are getting more involved in the community.”
There is no limit to what Ag Plus Mechanical provides in the world of ag-related products – everything
from garden clippers to tractors. The list includes everything a farmer would need – air seeders, manure spreaders, balers, and more.
The company, which is a Versatile dealer, carries a full line of lawn and garden equipment, hand-held products, small tractors, medium tractors, hay tools and Bobcat equipment for small construction jobs.
Ag Plus has branched out to include outdoor living items including grills, smokers, patio heaters and a variety of spices and sauces.
Ag Plus Mechanical employs up to 25 people at peak periods of the year and are located on Range Road 60.

Ray’s Cabinets Ltd. has been voted the best kitchen store in Medicine Hat and one of the owners says it has a lot to do with their long term employees and decades of experience.
Vic Liske and Hal Sisson are partners in the business that was established in 2001. They are devoted to the craft of creating beautiful kitchen, bathroom and laundry room cabinetry and even cabinets for garages, said Liske.
He says customer relations is where it all starts and the quality of workmanship is vital.
Having been in business for close to two decades there are previous customers returning for kitchen renovations and also contract work on new houses being built, said Liske.
“We have our own in-house finishing,” said Liske, which makes it possible to customize the product to suit the customer’s requirements.
There are six full time employees, many who have been long-term employees – some 20 years and others close to 10 years. On occasion they also use additional trades as well.
For Ray’s Cabinets, providing custom cabinetry for every lifestyle and budget has been a priority throughout the years. They use brands whose durability they know they can depend on.
Liske says it is “extremely” important to provide quality and service to customers so that they keep coming back.
“People are spending a lot of money on their kitchens and they have to be right for them,” said Liske.”We pride ourselves..... If there is an issue we want to get at it, too. You have to look after your people.”
Ray’s Cabinets is located in Medicine Hat but services the surrounding region as well.
