MARCH MUSIC IN MOTION
DUETS Sting
“I see me with you and all the things you do, keep turning round and round in my mind. We’ll be together tonight.” That’s just a snippet of one of the songs on the globetrotting world series of Sting selections featured on Duets. It truly is an international affair where music is the guiding light. Sting has amassed quite a collection of vocal partners and musicians over the years of his phenomenal career, and there isn’t a bad apple in this set of 17 songs. Mylène Farmer joins him for a tropical escapade in a “Stolen Car,” which when ignited becomes a passionate dance of sounds. Sting goes Arabian with Cheb Mami on the anthem “Desert Rose.” The “Rise & Fall” duet with Craig David is catchy and timely with the exposition of lyrics about fame and how fast stars can fall. There is also Mary J. Blige offering a powerful creation with Sting on “Whenever I Say Your Name,” which is gospel-fueled and stunningly beautiful. There are many more duets presented and that’s the musical power of Sting plus one to enjoy. Available March 19
