MAIDSTONE CONSERVATIVES
part of South Maidstone. It is clear this surge testing contributed to the huge and rapid drop in the rate of infection in Maidstone and we were both so pleased to see our local communities respond in such a positive manner to what was potentially a very concerning local development. It is also pleasing to record that to date no further cases of the South African variant have been identified.
Once again – thank you to all those who were involved.
Back to School It is excellent news that schools will be open again to all children from March 8. This is something that we have been calling for on behalf of our local families and children. We know that all our local schools are looking forward to welcoming back
Thank you very much for all the readers’ messages of support and gratitude received following our February article. You can be sure that if re-elected, we will continue our record of always putting the interests of the communities we represent first, we will always put people before politics.
Whenever the elections are held, we are delighted to confirm that we have both been selected to stand again as Conservative Party candidates in Maidstone South and Maidstone South East.
A World Class Vaccination Program
We both welcome the news of the route map out of lockdown. We understand the difficulties the pandemic has caused and recognise the solution was always going to be an effective vaccine. It was the Conservative Government’s decision to fund vaccine development, which has created a situation where we are delivering a truly world class vaccination program and offering us the opportunity of a return to normal life. We are sure that all families are delighted that they will be reunited very soon.
Surge Testing in Maidstone
We are delighted that the decision was taken to run surge testing across a large
their pupils. We are working with the education team to ensure that our transport services are geared up and ready to provide the necessary services to get everyone back to school.
Get in Touch
As we go to press, we are still unable to get out to you and talk on the doorstep. As we cannot meet you physically, we really appreciate hearing of people’s concerns by telephone and email. Please do get in touch if there is an issue in your area which you wish to discuss.
We encourage everyone to use their vote and have their voice heard at May’s elections. If you are concerned about attending the Polling Station in person, it is not too late to apply for a safe and secure postal vote. If you need guidance with this, please get in touch.
In the meantime, we will continue to communicate by all means available.
