Opionion Opinion ChyronHego launches three new brands

ChyronHego has launched three new corporate brands — Chyron, Hego, and Tracab — that respectively provide in- dustry-leading professional broadcast products, professional live broadcast services, and collegiate and profes- sional coaching tools. The three new brands will operate under the Chy- ronHego senior leadership team, and the company’s existing customers will enjoy ongoing sales, support, and de- velopment for the current ChyronHego product portfolio.

“Our launch of Chyron, Hego, and

Tracab is exciting not only because we are reclaiming the renowned ‘Chyron’ name, but also because these discrete brands allow us to be even more agile in addressing the requirements of spe- cific markets,” said ChyronHego CEO Ariel Garcia.

•Chyron: Professional Broadcast-Grade Products

The word “chyron” has been synon- ymous with on-air graphics since the company

pioneered the broadcast

character generator over a half-century ago. Reclaiming this legendary name, Chyron will continue to serve profes- sional broadcast across multiple verti- cals, including news, sports, and other entities that require broadcast-grade graphics, data management, content management, MOS integration, and control.

• Building on its tradition of innovation and excellence, Chyron has ramped up development and support to meet the needs of broadcasters today and in the future. Chyron’s flagship product, the PRIME Platform, is an industry-lead- ing graphics tool that also serves as an agile, scalable solution for broad- cast OTA and OTT workflows, whether deployed via traditional on-premises hardware, in the cloud, or in a hybrid configuration.

• Hego: Professional Live Broadcast Services

Hego renews its commitment to provid- ing excellence in broadcast services, including equipment and experienced personnel qualified to work with Chy- ron and other vendors’ equipment.

• Tracab: Coaching Tools 10

Tracab serves professional and col- legiate athletic coaches and leagues with a product portfolio that includes Tracab (player-tracking data) and Coach Paint (illustrated replay and virtual player line-ups as a coaching tool).

Though faced with a pandemic that took a toll on companies across the broadcast industry, ChyronHego con- tinued to grow in 2020. January 2021 began with a successful corporate

recapitalization, led by Apollo Invest- ment Corporation. To leverage these achievements and continue to grow, each brand begins 2021 focusing on its market segment, with custom- er-centric support and customer-driv- en development. “We have a lot of great things brewing and look forward to sharing these very soon!” added Garcia. “Following this rebrand an- nouncement, our customers can look forward to new products and innova- tions throughout the coming year.”

Mitigating stress of the return to the workplace

The latest lockdown has undoubtedly increased anxiety levels for most peo- ple, but work-related stress remains an issue for many, particularly as the time to return to the physical work- place appears to be drawing nearer. Public Health England offers guid- ance to help individuals manage their mental health during the current cri- sis and mental health charities are ex- panding their support services, which businesses may wish to inform their workforce about. Tina Chander, Head of Employment Law at law firm Wright Hassall ex- plains: “Now more than ever,

busi-

nesses must work hard to try and mitigate stress in the workplace and recognise those that fail to act, may face a slew of workplace personal in- jury claims.

“As Furlough comes to an end and employees begin to return to the work- place, employers need to take into

consideration what measures they need to implement to ensure they re- main COVID-secure and it is safe for employees to return to work. “Not only do employers need to con- sider the physical surroundings of their employees, but the mental well- being and the stresses that may come with returning to work.

“It will be natural to focus efforts on trying to restart a business and tempt- ing to ignore the stress issue, but the impact on the workforce can be so se- vere that businesses should consider some relatively simple steps.” The article will cover:

•Key triggers for work-related stress •How employers can mitigate the risk of workplace stress

•The importance of ‘stress risk as- sessments’

•Company policies that can protect your business
