As the COVID restrictions continue to change, SELECT is making sure Members always have the latest information and advice
S
ELECT continued to off er a wealth of COVID-19 advice and guidance to Members as essential construction work was allowed to continue during the latest lockdown.
The association swung into action after the announcement on 4 January, answering hundreds of phone calls and emails, creating guidance documents and issuing daily updates to Members as events unfolded. Just as it has for the past 11 months, SELECT will now continue to post the latest information on our dedicated COVID-19 hub at
www.select.org.uk along with other updates via text, email, phone and our social media channels. Further one-off Digital Drop-Ins are also being planned to help keep Members in the loop via webinar and answer questions on a range of issues.
In addition to these measures, SELECT continues to play a leading role in the Construction Industry Coronavirus (CICV) Forum, helping to create a range of practical advice to keep Members safe:
Face mask campaign SELECT assisted in the creation of an animation and infographic to remind construction workers how to use the right face covering in the right way. Headlined Mask for Task: Cover for
Covid, it shows the right respirator or mask for each job, along with specifi c dos and don’ts on wearing and taking care of face coverings. Go online with questions for SJIB team
T e Scottish Joint Industry Board (SJIB) is asking operatives with general queries to get in touch via its website, due to the high volume of calls being received during the pandemic. T e body has also requested “courtesy

and respect” as it continues to process a large number of SJIB (ECS) Grade Card
applications and ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessments.
