Know the risks


SELECT has launched a new training course in asbestos awareness, available through an e-learning digital classroom

ELECT is currently working in partnership with Training First Safety to offer a two-hour assessed e-learning course on asbestos awareness. Costing £35 + VAT


per delegate, the course will provide awareness and help develop knowledge about the hazards and risks posed by asbestos containing materials. It also gives an overview of the legislation that helps workers safeguard themselves and others affected by any activity. E-learning offers more flexibility and


allows you to complete the training at a time to suit yourself, and on successful completion your certificate will be


available for you to print off. Jenny McIntyre, Managing Director at Training First Safety Ltd, said: “As the industry constantly strives to pivot and adapt to our current situation, e-learning is serving as a fantastic way of helping to keep business on track with their current training needs.” Members should note that this course


is likely to form the first part of any training for work with asbestos and, on its own, does not qualify you to work with any forms of asbestos and does not meet the legal requirements laid down under Control of Asbestos Regulations.
