Stellar cast announced for Beccles Public Hall's seasonal extravaganza


A west end star, touring actor and an operatic singer are part of the stellar cast announced for Beccles Public Hall’s festive family show.


'Inside the Snowglobe' will replace the planned run of pantomime 'Snow White' on the theatre stage this Christmas, after the pandemic forced its postponement until 2021. The covid-secure production has already proved very popular with audiences booking in their droves and now producer Ryan Holt has revealed the cast, which includes some familiar faces. Matthew Siveter will star as Dame Cinnamon Swirl, having played the role of a dame in various productions, including The Pavillion

Gorleston. He is also acclaimed for his talents as an opera singer, working with many companies across the UK, such as the


Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company.


Actor and singer Joe Press, who joins fresh from Hamburg, where he played a chimney sweep in the Cameron Mackintosh musical tour of Mary Poppins, will play Elf Oddjob.


London performer Luke Cartledge is Jangle the Elf and has been part of the pantomime at Norwich Theatre Royal for several years, as well as the West End production of Around the World in 80 Days.


Hannalise Hall, lead vocalist and dancer for Parkdean Resorts, will play Sparkle the Elf, while Gorleston actress Carla Balls takes on the role of Jingle the Elf, having starred in a production with Strictly Come Dancing stars Ian Waite and Camilla Dallerup, plus many pantomimes.


Ryan has added a performance to the schedule, which is specifically designed to welcome people with learning difficulties or sensory needs. "I am so excited to have


secured a really talented and eclectic cast for our covid- secure show. The cast begin rehearsals soon and we can't wait till the curtain goes up." he said.


Some seating will be removed from the auditorium to ensure social distancing is maintained


at all times between families during performances.


Children will also be treated to a socially distanced meet and greet with Santa, where each will receive a gift. There will be up to three performances a day (10:30am, 2:30pm and 6pm) lasting for around eighty minutes, with no interval, from December the 19th-24th. Tickets at £12 are on sale
