Welcome to the December edition of your Live 24-Seven magazine and the end of 2020. When we entered this new decade I don’t think any one of us could have imagined this year would turn out quite the way it did. We have all experienced some of the strangest months of our lives and there is still uncertainty how it will all end. Fingers crossed for the early rolling out of a successful vaccine and an end to the suffering so many families have endured.
While this year’s festivities might not be quite what we are used to, with no news yet whether we can celebrate with our extended family or not, here at Live 24-Seven we have tried to look forward to December with as much Christmas cheer as we can muster.

Lots of our lovely advertisers have plenty of wonderful stock to offer, including jewellery (of course) and clothes, gifts and gadgets, art and antiques and it has never been more important than now to support our local traders. During this second lockdown many of the larger traders were able to continue whilst smaller ones were forced to close. If you are able to support them in December by shopping local, either in person or online, please do so as this could be the very lifeline that will keep our beautiful towns vibrant for years to come.
To get us all in the mood for the season, the good people at Neptune have lots of festive tips for us, from dressing the dining room table to choosing the perfect Christmas tree. They also have a delicious recipe for edible gingerbread decorations that guarantees to get us in the seasonal spirit. I for one will definitely be trying those.
This month I have also interviewed the lovely local author Sara Downing who has a new festive novella out this month, Head over Heels Christmas, which is a perfect little gift and a charming and cheerful read.
We look forward to 2021 and I particularly look forward to hearing from any of you who would like to be featured in the magazine, so please get in touch.
