The Ferrari Roma, the new mid-front-engined 2+ coupé of the Prancing Horse, features refined proportions and timeless design combined with unparalleled performance and handling. With its distinctive flair and style, the car is a contemporary representation of the carefree, pleasurable way of life that characterised Rome in the 1950s and ‘60s, from which it takes its evocative name, Roma.


EYES ON THE ROAD, HANDS ON THE WHEEL At the time of revealing the Ferrari Roma, exemplifying the concept of the Nuova Dolce Vita, the car has been the protagonist of a dedicated shoot in iconic locations around Italy’s capital city where it has encountered public and critical claim alike.


On 28 October, 2020 – The Ferrari Roma won the Production Cars category of the prestigious “Car Design Award”. The plaudit is an acknowledgement of the work of the design teams responsible for the automotive sector’s finest production designs of the year.


The Car Design Award is aimed at projects that have contributed to the evolution of car design. This year’s winners were selected by an expert jury of 12 journalists from the leading international car publications. In assigning the Production Cars to the Ferrari Roma, the jury stated that “The Ferrari design team, led by Flavio Manzoni, did an incredible job with the Roma. This car reinterprets the classical lines of a Gran Turismo car and projects them into the 21st century thanks to sensual, evocative and cutting-edge design”.


ELEGANT, PURE DESIGN The approach taken by the Ferrari Styling Centre for the Ferrari Roma’s exterior centres around clean design and absolute symbiosis between its various elements with harmonious propor- tions and pure, elegant volumes. To underscore that formal minimalism, all superfluous detailing has been removed. The cleanliness and absolute synthesis of its elements, marry perfectly with the Ferrari mid-front-engined berlinetta tradition of which the 250 GT Berlinetta lusso and 250 GT 2+2 are the most iconic examples, and from which the car takes its inspiration.
