ORHA Eastern Canadian Affiliate Championships As the reining season came to and


end, the Ontario Reining Horse Associ- ation held the Eastern Canadian finals at Fletchers Horseworld in Waterford, On- tario.


With attendees strictly following all


Covid 19 rules and regulations, the show was held over 3 days, at the largest rein- ing show in Ontario for a number of years! Competitors from Ontario and Quebec were hoping to qualify for the Adequan North American Affiliate

Championship to be held in Oklahoma City during the NRHA Futurity show Nov. 26 to Dec 5. The weather was great for most of


the weekend and the scores were high as everyone gave maximum effort at the Finals. Saturday evening the youth team put on and judged a stick horse reining class. A lot of fun was had by everyone from Quebec and Ontario. They put on a show of outstanding maneuvers with Chet Martin being the eventual winner,

Jeanette Martin was voted best dressed and Jeff Whitely was the fans favourite. Shows of this magnitude are diffi-


cult to produce and would not be possi- ble without the help and support of many ORHA members and wonderful sponsors. Terri Purdie spent a full week in the office and along with Sharon and Berenice Fletcher had things running smoothly all show. Rebecca Nelles sup- plied all the great photos and was always there to lend a helping hand. Leona


McAtee handled all of the organization of the OBBO futurity with amazing prizes and incredible payouts as always. Sylvain Gauthier and Western Rawhide supplied the beautiful saddles for the level 4 futurity Champions. The Sliding Stop tack shop was there all weekend to provide all types of equipment for the horse enthusiast. Our ORHA members really


stepped up with support of this event, Michelle Mailhiot, Dareth Miller,

Sherry Wilding, Paul and Gail Reid, Fletchers Horseworld, Buckskin Design, Mike Joslin, Lois Nelles Design, Epis Performance Horses, Lectric N Chic, Y Not Farms, Earl Chambers, Joanne Mil- ton, Sharon Hart and Kelly Plitz were all incredibly generous in making this one of the largest and most exciting events in the ORHA!!
