THOUSANDS of Maidstone students have been adapting to a radical new regime at school after six months away from the classroom.
With the Coronavirus pan-
demic and subsequent lockdown being the most unprecedented situation in modern times, schools have had to support chil- dren and parents virtually. This month, some children
have started school for the first time.
Invicta Grammar School head- teacher and VIAT chief executive, Julie Derrick, said: “Despite the challenges, I can be nothing but impressed with how our students have been embracing new rou- tines and structures. “We are constantly reviewing and adapting day by day, and sincerely hope this will settle down soon.”

new rules and routines which have been put in place. “Staff have been quick to men- tion how resilient and positive the children have been during these challenging times.”
