WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND? I am an ex-business manager who became an HR professional a number of years ago. My professional qualifications mean that I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.


WHAT DOES YOUR COMPANY DO? We help businesses not just survive but thrive by delivering training and coaching on leadership & management, employee engagement and customer excellence.


HOW DID IT ALL START? I had always wanted to start my own business, so I decided to leave my job as a senior manager in HR at Nationwide Building Society and give it ago. I am loving it and have never looked back.


WHAT HAS SURPRISED YOU MOST IN YOUR JOB? How much our training is appreciated. There is definitely a gap in our education system where people are missing out on learning key skills such as emotional intelligence. However, there is also a real insatiable appetite for people to acquire these skills. That’s where we come in.


WHICH BUSINESS PERSON OR COMPANY DO YOU MOST ADMIRE, AND WHY? There are too many to mention. We’ve been lucky enough to work with some fabulous business people at all levels, locally as well as in Africa and the Middle East. If they read this article they’ll recognise themselves for sure.


WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS WORKING ON? We’ve just launched our new Leading Change training and Sales Through Service training. Since lockdown we’ve also developed a series of bitesize online training modules to help people cope with the situation the pandemic has presented.


WHAT MADE YOU JOIN MILTON KEYNES CHAMBER? We value our membership as a way to get to know other businesses and be part of the business community. We play an active role - supporting and advocating membership as well as using the Chamber to raise our profile.
