Award win gives Daniel a confidence boost
A young professional who enjoyed a meteoric rise with Lichfield-based booking agency Access Bookings says winning a Chamber award has given him renewed drive to carry on developing. Daniel Aston was crowned the inaugural
Young Professional of the Year at the Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth Chambers of Commerce awards in January. Daniel has held a number of roles at Access Bookings, who co-ordinate travel and accommodation for the TV and film industry. He is now a senior member of the HR team
and says recognition from the Chamber has spurred him on to further his qualifications. “Winning the award has given me new drive

to succeed further,” said Daniel, who is currently studying for a post-graduate diploma in Human Resource Management at the University of Wolverhampton. “I just joined the HR team at the end of 2019
and was contemplating studying further for my CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development). “I had already achieved my level five in
learning and development last September and had thought about doing level seven but didn’t really have the confidence to do it at the time. “The award gave me that push. I decided to
go ahead and start studying for my post-grad diploma in Human Resource Management. “I’ve also taken on more responsibilities within
the business and just want to keep driving a positive atmosphere.” Access Bookings, who have been operating
for four decades, are headquartered in Lichfield but have offices in Cardiff, Glasgow, Ireland and Los Angeles. They have organised travel and
accommodation for cast and crew on a number of hit BBC shows including Peaky Blinders, Top Gear, Casualty and Countryfile.
