he partnership of Alan Fall’s Mad Dogs and Stefan Sund’s Previse Polo proved to be a winning combination. This competitive
team won the six-goal Spring Tournament 8-3. They convincingly beat the Hon Charles Cadogan’s Taittinger in a four-
chukka match which was played on The Duke’s Ground. Stefan Sund collected the trophy from Platina Tong, while team-mate Pedro Harrison received the Images of Polo Best Playing Pony prize for the mare Ellie. Taittinger had been strong throughout
this competition, including winning the Combermere Cup in the early stages, but were no match for an on-form Mad Dogs/ Previse on this particular Sunday. This win was more remarkable as just 24 hours earlier Previse had won the 12-goal Valerie Halford Memorial Trophy at Coworth Park.
