THE ADVENTURES OF GINNY UNCERTAIN TIMES
My heart goes out to all of those losing loved ones and I am forever thinking of the key workers that are working day in, day out to try and keep us all safe.
Within our eventing community we all came together at these very difficult times and tried to create some positivity and do something that really could changes lives and put valuable financial support where it was needed.
W
ell, what an interesting 12 weeks and oh how things have changed.
From the anticipation, excitement and feeling 100% prepared for the event season ahead at the beginning of March, we have all been somewhat stopped in our tracks by the dreaded Covid 19; Changing people's lives and every day routine and that feeling of normal both in the equine community and every single person in the world.
The founder Rachel Wakefield, of Virtual Eventing came up with this genius idea, and together with her 40 plus riders from all over the world, took part in the Virtual competition raising an incredible £178,501 For the NHS. I feel so proud to have been apart of this and for what everyone has achieved. Not to mention the fun and laughs very much needed between everyone's team in setting up and making the series of videos. Now we are all wondering... when Eventing resumes is there going to be a fancy dress themed trot up... who knows!
During the last 12 weeks without the competing, it has given myself and my team plenty of time to focus on the producing of the young horses and the finer detail for those extra marks in the dressage phase.
