At the time of going to print, the decision had been taken to cancel all upcoming training and events as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Chamber hosts a comprehensive suite of events and courses, which will be reinstated as soon as it is safe to do so; we are looking forward to welcoming our members back and announcing new dates in due course. Below is an overview of the wide range of offerings available to all members.
EVENTS
NETWORKING LUNCH Our popular lunches give attendees the ideal opportunity to drive forward their business whilst enjoying a three-course lunch. Each table is assigned a table host who will ensure everyone gets the chance to introduce themselves and their business. During the event attendees will be invited to move tables to enable them to network with fresh faces on each course.

executive Paul Griffiths said: “Networking is an effective way of meeting and making new contacts as well as providing the opportunities to build on existing relationships. “Our Networking Lunches are
always very popular and give attendees the chance to meet with key decision makers from local businesses and the opportunity to promote their company to a ready- made audience.” Two members are also selected,
by a draw, to present their company to all the guests.
MAXIMISE YOUR MEMBERSHIP The popular event is exclusive to Chamber members and helps new members to find out about the varied Chamber membership
offering and reacquaints existing members with all the services and products that are available to them. Northamptonshire Chamber chief
executive Paul Griffiths said: “We run these events to make sure our members are getting the most out of their Chamber membership. “They are great for members
who want a refresh as to what products and services their Chamber membership covers. “Members can also meet the
third-party suppliers behind some of the Chamber benefits and services and can catch up with members of the Chamber’s team to make sure they are taking advantage of every available opportunity that Chamber membership offers to them.” The event also includes time for members to meet in a relaxed environment over tea and coffee.

COMPLIANCE This comprehensive course provides a clear explanation of Import practices and terminology as they relate to the UK company in the role of buyer and most especially how to complete a Customs Declaration for import. We can also discuss the more complex scenarios where there are more.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATION AT ITS BEST! All managers and professionals need to communicate in writing and this workshop provides participants with an excellent opportunity to improve their skills, review their current approach and learn a range of useful tips and techniques.
SUCCESSFUL SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT How do you get the best out of your workforce? Do you know what motivates them to perform that little bit better? This course will introduce you to some tools and techniques that will help you to improve the performance of your team.
FAA LEVEL 1 MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS This half-day course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help.
INTERMEDIATE EXCEL The intermediate course takes you purely beyond understanding the basics of Excel to teaching some of the tools and techniques that will really add value to your systems.
MINUTES MADE EASY This full day course will help those that attend to understand what is needed to produce clear and precise minutes. Topics covered include: types of meetings, speed writing and how to annotate different kinds of information.
SALES FOR NON-SALES PROFESSIONALS This course serves as an introduction to the basic principles of selling for those with little or no background in sales and selling. It is particularly important within smaller businesses to ensure that all members of the team are equipped with basic sales and influencing skills. These are needed in order to ensure that every opportunity is maximised, and the business grows effectively.
TECHNICAL SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION This course gives delegates a firm understanding of technical and on page Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), showing them how to ensure that a site is well targeted for Google and other search engines. By the end of the session we'll give you a firm understanding of how best to structure a site, what technical elements are most important and how to set up a page for success!
