competed by Abi. I took over the reins at the end of last season. This very cute ex-racehorse has so much to give. Proving this over the winter month in the BS arena and he certainly did not disappoint on our debut together. A good dressage and another double clear to finish 7th.

Back for day 2 and another first timer, The lovely ‘IWonderIf’ Owned by Rosie Dent. Previously an established hunter he has since been in training as an event horse. Showing lovely movement and a great attitude on the flat with a scopey careful jump to match. Competing in the BE100 as his first ever run. A slightly green dressage but a brilliant double clear to place 7th in his section. Sadly after his rounds first thing, the weather conditions rapidly deteriorated meaning that ‘Tango Blu’ Owned by Irma Rosati had far from ideal conditions to make his comeback after 18 months so following a nice dressage we decided to save him for another day… If only now we knew when that day might be… Coronavirus has certainly implemented many changes in everyone’s lives at the minute. I think the established horses are somewhat

confused to when their next outing might be, fully fit and ready to go. The naïve young horses none the wiser as the training and routine continues.

In these uncertain times myself, my amazing grooms and family shall continue to produce the horses keeping them occupied with schooling, hacking, pole exercises and small jumping until the Government says otherwise. There is always plenty to do and plenty to be learned, no matter what their age. It’s just sad that it is uncertain when we can put it all into practice. Having said that, our Country needs to look after every single person and I believe lockdown is 100% the right decision. I feel desperately sorry for so many people, companies, organisers and events but the important thing to remember is things will get better and until they do cherish life, look after your loved ones and stay safe. Wishing you all well.
