Industry News European Pellet Conference 2020 Wels/Austria on 4 - 5 March, 2020


Pellet: Winners or losers of the energy transition? This question and more were discussed at the European Pellet Conference in Wels/Austria on 4 - 5 March 2020. The event was a large success with over 350 experts from 50 countries taking part. The event focussed on biomass as a cornerstone for the success of the clean energy transition in Europe and globally and how to position pellets as an important solution of climate policy. Bioenergy can play a key role in achieving climate neutrality. During the two


conference days, leading international experts shared their views and insights on burning topics about the future of pellets and development of pellet markets. The event showcased innovative technologies, projects and financing solutions


from around the globe, including an array of smart financing instruments and programmes that unlock possibilities for the energy transition! The European Pellet Conference is the largest annual pellet event worldwide and the meeting place for the global pellet community. It takes place in the context of the World Sustainable Energy Days - one of the world’s leading conferences on achieving climate neutrality.
