Gardner Denver scores top ratings in 2020 Oilfield Products Customer Satisfaction Survey

Gardner Denver Petroleum & Industrial Pumps (P&IP), the leading total solutions provider for the drilling, well servicing and frac pumps market, has achieved top ratings in five categories in the 2020 Oilfield Products Customer Satisfaction Survey, conducted by EnergyPoint Research.

The survey, which has been conducted annually since 2007, is one of several EnergyPoint studies focused on the oil and gas industry’s satisfaction with the products and services it utilizes and depends upon. More than 50 major products suppliers were listed in this year’s global survey. A total of 33 companies received the minimum number of evaluations to be included in the final rankings.

The survey, which was global in nature and included more than 40 questions, was concluded on December 31, 2019. Questions focused on features and attributes shown to drive satisfaction among customers of oilfield product suppliers. These include pricing and contract terms, performance and reliability, engineering and design, availability and delivery, personnel, post-sale support, digital oilfield, and corporate capabilities. Respondents also evaluated companies across multiple product categories, applications and well types. Survey respondents were asked to rate providers of oilfield products with which they have had significant experience as customers within the last 24 months.

RCS Electric Actuators Introduces the First Blanket-Free Spring- Return Electric Actuator – Sure 65

RCS Electric Actuators, a division of Dresser Natural Gas Solutions (Dresser NGS), a leading provider of actuators, measurement, instrumentation and piping solutions to the natural gas distribution and transmissions markets, has introduced the latest expansion to the RCS SurePowr™ actuator product line with Sure 65, a Spring-Return electric actuator to be utilized in the transit tunnel and ventilation market.

Electric actuators in high- temperature applications on ventilation dampers traditionally rely on insulation blankets to perform reliably. The RCS Sure 65 electric actuator is now available with a new, simpler, and cost- efficient “blanket-free” design that eliminates the need for thermal insulation blankets in SurePowr™ actuators. It still allows for compliance with NFPA 130 and NFPA 502 standards, and is capable of operation after exposure to a temperature of 250 degrees C (482 degrees F) for two hours.

The Sure 65 is the first of three SurePowr™ actuators – Sure 65, 100 and 150 – to be introduced. It will eliminate the need for expensive accessories, offer reductions in price and physical size, improve access to the actuator internals, and create an improvement for tunnel ventilation systems.

Tata Steel Wins Three Contracts With TechnipFMC

Tata Steel, one of Europe's leading steel producers, has secured three separate contracts with TechnipFMC for work in the UK North Sea, further building on the relationship between the two companies.

The scope of work includes the provision of High Frequency Induction (HFI) line pipe for carrier application and for both spool and pipe-in-pipe systems. The HFI line pipe will be manufactured in Tata Steel’s Hartlepool 20" pipe mill, and will be installed by TechnipFMC.

The three different projects span from the Northern North Sea to the Central North Sea. Two of the three will see Tata Steel provide more than 16 kilometres of 10" carrier pipes, with three layer polypropylene coating for anti-corrosion and mechanical protection, including weld on pads to allow fitting of sacrificial bracelet anodes. The third project requires several kilometres of 14" carrier pipes and 10" spool pipes.

Tata Steel has supplied more than one million tonnes of pipeline for oil and gas projects in the North Sea for more than 20 years – including in excess of 500,000 metres of reel installed pipe and more than £250 million invested in subcontracts for North Sea projects.
