Absen launches Venus

Absen’s Venus (VN) Series is an innovative LED display that has been specifically designed for con- certs and festivals due to its abil- ity to create super-sized screens at speed. The product features a highly unique integrated ‘module- on-frame’ design. By removing the sub-frame (cabinet frame), Venus is 27% lighter than competing solutions. In fact, at 27.5 kg/sqm, it is the lightest integrated touring display solution on the market, al- lowing creative teams to cut back on weight, save cost and build even bigger LED walls than before – up to 20 metres in height. The VN Series has also been designed to save crews precious time. In an industry where there is increasing pressure put on

to +10 degrees, allowing fixed po- sitioning at -10°, -5°, 0°, +5° and +10°.

The VN Series has been designed with crew’s safety and convenience in mind, and the products’ ease of mounting and transportation is testament to this. All Venus LED panels are fitted with carbon fibre pipes with special anti-slip coatings to ensure the safety of climbers, with additional safety hooks so riggers can secure themselves at every step of the building process. The VN’s easy locking system with big-sized handles are simple to use even with thick gloves on, with co- lour-coded lock/unlock markers and vertical auto-lock for an improved user experience.

The product can be easily hung,

The Absen VN Series will begin shipping globally from March 2020.

digital signage. Vivitek’s new models stand out in the market for facilitat- ing more than just a wireless connection, instead offering true collaboration. Users of the NC-X700 and the NC-X900 can share their content wire- lessly from any device to the main screen.

Connection is simple, thanks

to the NovoConnect App mir- roring the content from mobile devices and laptops, facilitat- ing BYOD and making it easy to bring ideas and content to a big screen. For enhanced con- venience, NC-X700 and NC- X900 users can also connect using Windows 10 Miracast. In addition, NC-X900’s dual- Wi-Fi capacity enables native Windows (Miracast), Mac OS and iOS (AirPlay), and Android (Google Cast) mirroring, elimi- nating the need to install any software. Guests benefit from the convenience of the USB LauncherPlus, which is an op- tional extension for direct Wi-Fi connectivity from any laptop. As part of NovoConnect’s fea- ture set, there is a complete

nage in 4K resolution. Thanks to its built-in NovoDS digital signage, creating messages and company announcements is made easy through its intuitive drag-and-drop interface. Commenting on the launch of the NC-X700 and the NC- X900, Holger Graeff, General Manager, Vivitek EMEA, said: “Our popular Novo Ecosystem is now extended with the in- troduction of the NC-X700 and the NC-X900. Our desire is to add products that will help our customers to boost their meet- ing productivity and commu- nication capabilities without compromising security. Our Novo Ecosystem is unique in its ability to meet the needs of AV and IT professionals alike, enabling them to upgrade or renew their visual displays in meeting rooms to provide wire- less visual communication and drive effective collaboration.”

rental stagers for set up times, Venus makes it far quicker to in- stall thanks to its big cabinet size (1500 x 1000) and fast locking system. It is also easier to maintain and upgrade as the modules can be swiftly switched out without the need to take apart the frame struc- ture.

EasySuite TVs come in a black finish and include a remote control and tabletop stand.

Vision offers Hub2 floor stand with battery stowage

Vision now offers a version of its VFM-F10 floor stand for Microsoft Surface Hub2. The VFM-F10/HB ships from late January and replaces the VESA mount with a “halo” for fixing the Hub2.

Integrators can add an option- al bracket which fixes APC’s battery under the rear shelf (shipping late Q1).

Vision used a design agency

to create a form inspired by fine modern furniture, avoiding the normal heavy AV furniture aes- thetic which Vision thinks de- tracts from Hub2. Vision says its delicate form has a sense of movement that complements Hub.

Vision chose to make the F10 more upright at 7° - compared to Microsoft’s 12° pitch - to en- sure the Hub2 camera is cen- tred on the audience and to re- duce reflection. Users who are seated using Hub2 for video conferencing can tilt the dis- play to upright.

The F10 features larger 100 mm wheels to make rolling smoother and easier. Excellent cable management runs all the way down both legs, and the cables exit such that they don’t get caught under the wheels easily.

Large hooks on the back make it easier to wind up power ca- bles and hang them for transit.

The VN Series will be available in two standard sizes: 1,500mm (W) x 1,000mm (H) and 500mm x 1,000mm, in order to allow for fully customised options. It will be available in 3.9mm, 4.8mm and 8.3mm pixel pitch versions, boast- ing up to 5000 nits of brightness and black face LED. The VN Series also allows for concave and convex curving options for highly creative video wall designs; with horizontal free-adjustable variances of -10

stacked and transported, thanks to a 5-in-1 dolly system, which has been carefully calculated to allow two rows and three columns to fit in a 40HQ container, allowing for 315 sqm of LED panels per truck. Wind bracing is also available and can withstand gale force winds of up to level 8. Amy Tang, VP of Product at Absen, comments: “The VN has been designed with the customer in mind at every step of the way. Not only does the product deliver a visually stunning performance for punters, it is radically different to what is currently available on the market and will see customers save on costs, weight and time, thanks to its unique module-on-frame de- sign.
