Centre-Val de Loire

Dotted with châteaux and brimming with verdant beauty, this is the perfect destination for a varied trip

The many châteaux to explore include Villandry, Chaumont-sur-Loire and Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci lived and worked until his death in 1519. But the most famous has to be Chambord, one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture in the country.
