ur four-legged friends were welcomed with open arms. The Goodwood Hotel is unlike anywhere
else, reflecting their love of life and passion for excellence which is at the heart of everything they do. Around the grounds, there are 12,000 acres of South National Park with substantial walks to explore. A former 18th-century coaching inn located near the entrance to the park, it’s the ideal base from which to explore Goodwood.
The dog-friendly King Garden room on the ground floor was perfect for furry guests with direct, fast access to grass with cosy dog beds, bowls, a walking map, toys and tasty treats! Lovely personal touches included a cute cuddly crocodile for our puppy, truffles and Goodwood Ale for us! The Dukes of Richmond have been brewing beer at Goodwood for centuries, using home-grown malted barley from Goodwood Home Farm. Grogger (Pale Ale) was created around the story of Grogger the Boxer Dog. His owner, The Farnham Flyer, would drink a pint to celebrate finishing a race, Grogger would famously steal a sip from his glass!
We had an exceptional dining experience at their on-site farm-to-fork organic sustainable restaurant - Farmer, Butcher, Chef. It’s worth a visit in its own right! There is no dress code. The focus is on creating a relaxed and comfortable dining experience and you can even take your dog with you to dinner! We loved everything about it and obviously, the

In search of something a little bit special, we headed off the beaten track to treat our dogs to a fabulous quintessentially English and pet-friendly boutique hotel. Why leave them behind when you can take them with you!
food too! Exquisite cocktails followed by an explosion of flavours with a delightful G&T cured trout starter. This restaurant showcases the very best estate-reared meat and the roasted estate pheasant with chanterelles, truffle potatoes, spinach and crispy kale was the best! With an abundance of mouth-watering puddings, I had to choose one and went for the most sublime clementine set, cream of orange cake, sorrel and citrus sorbet! The décor echoes the thrill and wow factor of Goodwood and their infectious passion for motoring. Including modern eclectic furniture, eye-catching industrial pendant lighting and intriguing original artefacts.
Goodwood is a location with something for everyone. The racecourse, motor circuit and private aerodrome are just a stone’s throw away and guests can make use of the adjoining leisure complex. There are two golf courses, plus a health club with swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam, sauna and spa offering sumptuous treatments.
