ADHESIVES, CEMENTS & TAPES MILLIPUT PUTTY Milliput Putty Gorilla Tape

Types of Adhesive: • Acrylic (plastic) Watch Glasses • Exopy “Mix Style” for Mineral Watch Glasses • U.V Curing (requiring UV lamp) for Mineral Watch Glasses

G&S Hypo Cement Milliput Putty

Milliput is a trade name for our epoxy putty. We supply 5 grades. Each grade is presented in similar packs containing two 56.7 gram sticks and the general instructions for preparation and usage are the same.

The two sticks have a long shelf life but once mixed the resultant putty is at first soft and highly adhesive and then gradually hardens. Speed of hardening is dependant on temperature and at normal temperatures (20-25 ºC) Milliput becomes rock hard in three to four hours. By the application of heat the setting time can be reduced to a few minutes.

After setting hard Milliput continues to cure and is fully cured after an elapse of time equal to the setting time at the same temperature. Once fully cured Milliput can be machined, drilled, tapped, turned, filed, sawn, sandpapered and painted. Milliput can be sandpapered and painted immediately after it has been set. (It is advisable to wear eye protection during this process).

Milliput is an excellent adhesive and will bond any of the following to itself or to any of the others - wood, brick, cement, metals, concrete, plastics and glass, but note that Milliput is not intended as a thin layer adhesive and should not be used where a paste, mucilage or thin glue is indicated. Milliput will set under water and is heat resistant up to 130 °C.

Other uses of Milliput are as follows: mould making for casting can add on to build up wax model , ceramic porcelain repair, antique clock and watch dial restoration, marble, slate, cast iron, repair and restoration.

• Black - For antique clocks, ebonised wood, marble, slate, cast iron, basalt ceramics and black plastic

With a unique precision “mess free” applicator which allows precise amounts of cement to be applied to intricate parts for exact placement.

G&S Hypo Cement was invented in 1939 for use in the watch making and jewellery repair industries. It is a combination of a fine precision tool and a clear drying, medium-strength cement that will not damage surfaces. The cement is ideal for jewellery, beads, plastic, glass, metal, ceramics, painted or sealed woods and other non-porous surfaces. Also useful for bonding spectacle frame screws.

This is a no-waste product that is ideal for many applications. Full use of the precision applicator tip is maintained by inserting the cap wire into the tube when not in use and by cleaning excess drops from the outside of the applicator with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover.

This is not” instant glue.” It becomes tacky in 10 - 15 seconds, allows parts to be adjusted and dries in 10 to 15 minutes. The cement will not bond fingers, and has a slight odour that dissipates quickly. Great for model making, miniatures, fine screw locking, sealing knots, precision waterproof sealing, precision repairs, optical and technical applications, crafts and hobbies.

• Surface Preparation: It is recommended that the two surfaces being joined are clean and free from dirt. The cement is not recommended for porous surfaces

• Storage: Cap wire must be inserted when not using cement

• Tube Size: 4” x 5/8” (101.6 x 15.9mm), 1/3 fl. oz. (9ml) • Complete instructions: Included inside box • Solubility: G&S Hypo Cement can be dissolved by Isopropyl Alcohol

• Suitable for both sapphire & mineral watch glasses
