Export Business of the Year

Variohm Eurosensor

Business of the Year winner Variohm Eurosensor was also crowned Export Business of the Year at the Northamptonshire Business Awards. The firm manufactures and supplies sensors

and associated electronic systems and has seen its export sales grow significantly since 2010. In addition to its base in Towcester, the firm operates an office in Germany and has a worldwide distribution network. It fought off strong competition from

SpaceVac Technologies Group and Watford Control to win the Export Business of the Year award, which recognises the strength of Northamptonshire’s international businesses. The firm impressed the judges with their

strong export record and their readiness to cope with changes caused by Brexit.

Managing director Graham Pattison was accompanied by a large group of supporters from the company as he collected the award from Steve Clark, of category sponsors Marsden Fire Safety. Graham said: “To win this award is amazing

for everyone because it’s very much a team effort. “For many years we have identified the importance of export to our business. We have even opened an office in Heidelberg in Germany. What makes winning this particular award even more special is our stores manager Alan Gilbert is currently in Heidelberg enhancing our facility there as part of our preparations for Brexit.”
