A company which offers physiotherapy and occupational health services to other firms has launched a new practice in Milton Keynes. Balmoral Physiotherapy is part of a larger Newcastle-based healthcare
company called Therapy Direct and it opened its new base at MK Village Practice in the summer. It not only provides a range of typical physiotherapy activities but also
includes an occupational health service to firms that want to optimise their employee retention levels and help employees with health difficulties to remain or return to work as soon as possible. Physiotherapist Matt Search, who has more
than 20 years of experience, said: “There aren’t many companies like ours in the area. We provide a good mix of different services, not just the normal physiotherapy assessments and treatments, but, also the occupational health services too. “We help companies to retain their

staff by offering an occupational health service. When staff have physical problems, we help them to improve their fitness so they can get back to their normal duties as quickly as possible. “We also do phone consultations, so for example, if someone has broken

an ankle, we can talk to them about what to do and how long it is going to take to mend and report back to their employer about timescales and what they can put in place to help their employee get back to work. “We can also follow through with workstation assessments onsite as well as larger types of risk assessments.”
