Our wonderful Year 4 children gave up their time after school to help local basket-maker, Phil Bradley, to weave a new willow fence for our Secret Garden.

Parents, siblings and members of the local community also got involved and had great fun in our beautiful school grounds.


They started by harvesting willow and deciding which pieces were suitable and deciding which to use as compost to nourish our hedges.


We are also lucky enough to be a ‘National Trust Guardianship School’ and we welcome a member of the National Trust every month to share their expertise and have fun learning in and exploring the outdoor environment with them.

Paddle School Playgroup


Children and volunteers assisted in removing the old willow fence, then helped Phil to put in the fenceposts – they really enjoyed stamping on them to secure them in the ground!


Come along for a play! Every Friday during term time 9.00 – 11.00am


Our weekly Paddle Preschool Playgroup meets every Friday from 9.00 – 11.00am in our school hall


We welcome Yummy Mummies, Doting Daddies, Terrific Toddlers and Bouncing Babies! Please join us for a play, a chat, a cuppa and a snack. We have plenty of exciting activities on offer delivered by our trained and enthusiastic staff including crafts, games, singing, dancing and rhyme time


Then the weaving began which was a long process but well worth it, as the fence looks fabulous.
