The Winter Night Garden BACKYARD CINEMA UNVEIL A BRAND


Capital Studios (the newly converted TV studio that once housed Ready Steady Cook) is now opening its doors as London’s newest Christmas extravaganza. The cosy winter hangout features famous street food, Honest Burgers & Mother Clucker, a secret tap room, curated by Gipsy Hill Brewing Co, and boasts two festive cinematic experiences created by Backyard Cinema. What’s more, it’s open to everyone every day this winter, offering a true all day festive delight.


Draped in Christmas decor, the venue will offer mulled wine & cider, boozy hot chocolates, ‘build your own’ Baileys reindeers, beer & tasting classes, pub quizzes, festive live music and more. The Annex, once used to build the sets for the studios' shows, is now home to a secret craft beer tap room curated by Gipsy Hill Brewing Co. With a cosy mezzanine great for parties, new beers every week, board games, and regular taster classes, it’s the perfect hide away.


As the new home of immersive cinema, Capital Studios now boasts not one but two new festive cinematic adventures by Backyard Cinema Perfect for the whole family, a night with mates or a cosy date night this winter season. Indoors and fully heated, these two Christmas adventures offer Backyard Cinemas signature giant beanbags, festive snacks and treats and the perfect place to rediscover your favourite holiday movies. The incredible programme of films includes Elf, The Holiday, Love Actually, The Lion King (2019), Home Alone, The Greatest Showman, Die Hard and many more.


The Winter Night Garden gives customers the chance to live their very own adventure. After entering through a magical wardrobe, they will find themselves in the depths of the enchanted forest. There they’ll be asked to help carve a path towards The Lost Theatre where they can finally relax an relax in cosy-comfort and rediscover their favourite film.


The Snow Kingdom offers its own separate magic – guests must first uncover a hidden entrance to a secret underground passageway - if they are able to make it through the magical ball pit river, and use the password, they will gain entry to the mythical Snow Kingdom, where they can relax on Backyard’s famous giant bean bags and fall in love with their favourite Christmas films all over again.


Two brand new Backyard Cinema Christmas specials call Capital Studios their home, but it also offers three new spaces to explore, all open to the public without a cinema ticket required. There is something for everyone and all festive fans are welcome to the ultimate cosy winter hang out.


The Studio Bar will be serving mulled wine, boozy hot chocolate, cocktails on tap, festive beers, artisan pizza, and more, all accompanied by incredible live music, including Capital Studios’ very own Christmas Carol singers.


The Yard will be home to the famous Honest Burgers & Mother Clucker, both bringing exclusive hearty festive specials to the table, to be enjoyed amongst a warm Christmas buzz in the covered, heated and seated courtyard and throughout the venue.
