Welcome
A Message From the President of the Estero Chamber of Commerce
T
he Estero Chamber of Commerce is honored to represent so many diverse community businesses throughout our Southwest Florida region. We strive
to be an integral part of this vibrant area, offering criti- cal programs which assist local business growth and create healthy communities in which to live. It is very clear that our Estero area will continue to see tremendous growth in the future. As a voice of the business community, the Estero Chamber of Commerce plays a key role in the energetic at- mosphere where businesses are flourishing and expanding. Our engagement with the Florida State and U.S. Chambers continues to strengthen, providing our community busi- nesses with powerful information and tools to enhance their growth and profits.
The Chamber celebrated its 20th anniversary in June, 2018, during our Annual
Business Meeting while hosting 220 guests to learn the history, as well as the present and future plans for our Chamber. We finally, after 15 years of virtual existence and five years of subleasing office space, moved into our own Visitor's Center with funding assistance by our Founder's Club Members providing these members valuable benefits throughout their three-year pledge to the Chamber. Our annual events were very successful, the Scholarship Program was funded by October's Golf Event, and our 1st Annual Business to Business Expo sold out quickly. December's holiday party definitely provided an Evening to Remember introducing our first ever full time Executive Director, Sarah Newcomb and also our Diamond Level Economic Impact Partner, the Village of Estero. Visit our website to learn more about the Founder's Club & Impact Partners Program. As I approach my final six months as your President and closing on six years serving
on the Executive Committee, I would like to thank our membership, volunteers, Board of Directors and staff, allowing me the honor to serve as your 2018-2019 President. Many difficult but necessary decisions were made over the past year to position our Chamber's successful future. It has been a privilege to work with our current Board of Directors and I know your incoming President, Nolen Rollins, will serve our members well, attaining the goals set forth. The best is yet to be!
Wishing you a Successful and Healthy 2019. Judi Gietzen 2017-2019 President
