FALL TRAIL SEASON RACES INTO 2020

With the fall competitions well under-

way, the North American Trail Ride Con- ference (NATRC) is looking ahead and finalizing its 2020 event calendar. There are just two NATRC competitive trail rides remaining on the 2019 schedule in Region 4 which includes Texas, Okla- homa, Arkansas and Louisiana. These are closely followed by the first competition of the 2020 season held in early Decem- ber.

October features The Grasslands

Gamble on the weekend of October 12-13 at the LBJ Grasslands Valley View camp- ground in Decatur, Texas. “This is such a perfect time of year for

competitive trail rides,” said ride manager Alanna Sommer. “The temperatures are cool for the horses, and the fall colors are starting to show. We have divisions that will fit every horse and rider team, so come out and enjoy the trail with us.”

Three weeks later is the Bell Cow Competitive Trail Ride in Chandler,

OK on November 2-3. This location features electric hook-ups at the eques- trian campsite which is located beside Bell Cow Lake. The trails are flat, fast and barefoot-friendly. The following month the first competition of 2020 is the Jingle Bell

Jaunt CTR on December 7-8 at Parrie Haynes Equestrian Center in Killeen, Texas. More information on all these events can be found at www.natrc.org or by calling Elaine Swiss on 830-825-3032. w
