The National Appaloosa Show, an annual event that first started in Lewiston, Idaho, in 1948, is the nation’s oldest sin- gle-breed championship event. The show has grown from its first show of 47 entries to over 2,000 entries this year. There was no shortage of Appaloosa versatility exhibited as
open and non-pros participated in over 160 classes during the first week in Fort Worth. The show kicked off with cattle events, and over the course of the show, horses and exhibitors competed in everything from ranch to halter to hunter under saddle classes, all vying for coveted National Championship titles. Spectacular, a full-day show for Veterans and equestrians with disabilities. For the second year, clothing donated by ApHC mem- bers and friends were available for exhibitors. The support and appreciation felt by all made the experience one to remember.
